I’m a developer on the Exiv2 Open Source Project. Exiv2 is a C++ Library to read/modify/write metadata in image files. We also have a useful command-line program with many options to manipulate metadata.
Thanks for suggesting this. I know about ExifTool and have been looking at the (Perl) code involved. I added references to ExifTool’s resources on the issue report on exiv2.org. And I’ve already added fff.h to our code base.
ExifTool reverse engineered the metadata in FLIR. Lots of clever and ingenious work which is mostly documented on their Forum. I was hoping that FLIR would publish code/documentation that definitively enables metadata decode/encode.
Thank You for taking the time to reply to my question.
