Android folks, I’m posting today to give you heads up that we’re releasing an updated Android SDK today to address a bug that manifests as a crash when calling Device#setAutomaticTuning. Once you’ve signed up as a FLIR ONE developer you can download the latest version on our SDK Downloads page. I also wanted to give you a heads up that as a result of our recent Hackathons we’re starting to see some cool Android FLIR ONE apps and a couple of them are already up on the Play Store. Stay tuned for more info, we’ll be announcing those that get certified as FLIR Approved Apps shortly!
iOS folks, we’re working on updates to the iOS SDK as well. We’ve received a fair number of suggestions for improvements and are working on implementing them in the current iOS SDK, I expect to release an updated SDK in the near future. In the bigger scheme of things we’re considering doing a significant rewrite of the iOS SDK that will streamline it, make it easier to use, and add support for FLIR’s higher-end thermography equipment. This is no small task and I’d like to invite you to help us hit the mark with it – watch for a survey from us in the next week or so asking for your inputs on improvements and features you’d like to see in that release.
